CHARLES J. FORET attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette on an athletic scholarship and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 1977. In 1981, Mr. Foret earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Louisiana State University. Mr. Foret returned to Lafayette where he has remained during his entire legal career. He is a member of the Lafayette Parish and Louisiana State Bar Associations, Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, Defense Research Institute, Transportation Lawyers Association and Acadian Home Builders Association. Mr. Foret has lectured on Louisiana workers’ compensation law at the request of the National Business Institute. Mr. Foret practices in state and federal court and in the Louisiana Office of Workers’ Compensation. He has received an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell for legal ability and adherence to professional standards of ethics. His practice focuses on the defense of claims involving litigation. Mr. Foret handles many types of litigation including insurance disputes, products liability, construction claims, trucking-automobile, workers’ compensation matters, premises liability, as well as the defense of other general liability claims. |
