We also represent corporate clients, many of whom have oil and gas related interests. We have defended complex cases involving catastrophic losses from blowouts; drilling accidents, both on and offshore; fires, and matters affecting the environment.

A major part of our practice is the representation of self-insured companies in litigation arising out of or related to: contract disputes, workers’ compensation, products and premises liability, construction, and ultra-hazardous activity. We have also handled many labor related problems of these clients, including: labor management relations, wage, and hour regulations, Americans with Disabilities Act issues, wrongful discharge and Fair Employment Standards Act matters.

Government

Our attorneys who focus on governmental relations have extensive experience representing the State of Louisiana, through its agencies and departments, as well as municipal and parish (county) governmental bodies on a variety of matters.

The firm handles medical malpractice and personal injury claims brought against state agencies. Additionally, the firm has represented several area parish governments defending personal injury cases. Members of Briney Foret Corry have in excess of 25 years experience representing state agencies in regulatory and administrative law matters in the energy field.
